Summer Camps (Ages 6 – 17)

Are you interested in supplementing your child’s musical education with some fun, social activity this summer?  Hall Piano Academy will be offering a series of specialized summer camps that will accommodate students ages 6-17.  Our summer camps help further the student’s musical education in fun, professional environment that encourages students to learn from each other and share their musical experiences.  All students must have prior experience in private lessons before enrolling, but camps are designed for beginners.  We accept students of all teachers in the local New Orleans area.

 

Summer Fun Piano Camp
Ages 6 – 9
June 12, 2017 – June 16, 2017, 9:00am – 11:45am
$135 per student
Students must have 6 months of prior experience at the piano.
(8 student maximum)

This camp will feature music storytelling, ensemble playing and performances, musical games and activities, theory, ear training, composer history, and more!

Summer Fun Piano Camp
Ages 10 – 12
July 26, 2017 – July 30, 2017, 9:00am – 11:45am
$135 per student
All students must have 6 months of prior experience at the piano.
(8 student maximum)

Students will enjoy theory and ear training games, performance classes, sight reading workshops, duets and ensemble practice, one-on-one lessons with our staff on harmonization, memorization techniques, performance practices, and more!

Pop, Jazz, and Blues Workshop
Ages 12 – 17
June 19, 2017 – June 23, 2017, 9:00am-12:00pm
$150 per student
Students must have prior experience in piano lessons, but no previous experience in these specific genres is necessary.
(7 student maximum)

Our Pop, Blues, and Jazz Workshop is open to piano students.  No prior experience playing these genres is necessary.  Classical pianists welcome and encouraged to participate and help diversify their skill set.  Students should have some previous experience in lessons before enrolling, but it is an introductory class designed for beginner students.   This is a great opportunity for students who are accustomed to practicing alone to learn how to work with their peers, and there will be many performance opportunities!
