Jackie Jaekyung Yoo

Acknowledged as one of the “future leaders of the Korean music scene,” pianist Jackie Jaekyung Yoo has won top prizes at nearly thirty international competitions, including the Bösendorfer International Piano Competition and the Jaén International Piano Competition. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Manchester Camerata, Phoenix Symphony, Symphony Orchestra of Croatian Radio and Television and the Orquestra Simfonica del Valles, in addition to performing worldwide at festivals such as the International Gümüslük Classical Music Festival and the Bebersee Festival. Also an accomplished ensemble pianist, Jackie is a member of an award-winning piano duo Yoo + Kim. Jackie is currently based in Germany and the UK after having studied at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Matti Raekallio and Markus Groh, as well as having completed the International Artist Diploma Program at the Royal Northern College of Music. In her spare time, Jackie is an amateur photographer.
