Matt McWilliams
Craftsmen Level Technician
Steinway Concert & Artist Technician
Steinway Factory Trained (Level 4)
Hall Piano Company Family Member Since 1983
As a native of Pennsylvania, Matt moved to New Orleans in 1974. Legend has it that Matt was born with a tuning fork in hand and cried as a baby in the key of A. He began studying piano technology as a member of the U.S. Navy Band and became a craftsmen level technician in the late 1970’s.
Shortly after Hall Piano Company’s dealership appointment in 2004, Matt began attending the world renown C.F. Theodore Steinway Technical Academy in order to advance his already highly regarded skills. Matt completed his advanced factory technical studies at the Steinway Factory in 2007. Today, Matt stands as the only technician in Louisiana or Mississippi to have successfully completed all four course studies offered. His commitment to this continuing training ensures Hall Piano Company’s clients that their new Steinway piano will arrive to their home and be maintained to the highest level available anywhere in the world.

Marko relocated from Germany to New Orleans in 2001 after marrying a native of the city. Overcoming language barriers, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, leading to his promotion to shop manager in 2003. By 2004, Marko had become an associate member of the Piano Technician’s Guild.
Marko’s deep faith in Jesus Christ drives his commitment to excellence in his craft. He states, “I am thankful to God for everything I achieved at Hall Piano Company.” His primary goal is to ensure that each piano owner experiences joy when their instrument is returned, whether restored or repaired. He considers this the highest reward for his efforts.
In addition to his professional achievements, Marko is a devoted husband to his wife Rebecca and a loving “papa” to their three children.
