Korean-Canadian pianist Heejung Nam enjoys an active career as a solo performer, chamber musician, and a teacher. A native of Seoul, Korea, Ms. Nam received her !rst piano lesson at age !ve, and subsequently moved to Vancouver, Canada with her family at age 14, giving a solo debut recital the following year. She has performed in major Canadian cities as well as in the U.S., and has been featured nationwide on the CBC radio. Ms. Nam has performed in master classes given by Angela Hewitt, Lee Kum Sing, Jacob Lateiner, Hiroko Nakamura, John O’Conor, and Ursula Oppens. She has also attended the Piano Master Class program at the Ban Centre for the Arts in Ban, Alberta. Ms. Nam is currently in her third year of the DMA program at the Eastman School of Music. In her spare time, Ms. Nam enjoys cooking and reading.
