Serhii Morozov, a native of the Ukraine, was born in 1974. His first piano instruction was with Nina Ketkova and then Svetlana Isakova. He received a Bachelor of Musical Art diploma from the Dnepropetrovsk State Music College in the Ukraine in 1993. Mr. Morozov studied with Larissa Dedova and Pavel Nersessian during his years at the Moscow State Conservatory, where he earned a Master of Musical Arts diploma in 1998. He is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. Mr. Morozov gave a recital at the opening of the 2001 Bartok-Kabalevsky- Proko!ev International Piano Competition. He has played at the Arono Art Center and the Queen City Club in Cincinnati, at Northern Kentucky University, at the Washington Arts Club, and at the University of Maryland. He has given recitals and made radio and television appearances in many major cities in the Ukraine and Russia, and has played with orchestras in the Ukraine, Russia and the United States.
