2011 Anna HanAnna Han of Chandler, Arizona started taking piano lessons with her current teacher, Mr. Fei Xu, at age five. Since then, she has won a number of local, national, and international piano competitions, including the national first prize of the MTNA Junior Piano Competition, the first prize of the IIYM International Piano Competition, the second prize of the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition, the third prize of the Gina Bachauer International Junior Piano Competition, and the fifth prize of the Cooper International Piano Competition. Anna has soloed with the Chandler Symphony Orchestra, performing Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1; with the Verde Valley Sinfonietta, performing Schumann Piano Concerto; and with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra twice, performing Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No.1 and Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3. In 2008, she was featured on the National Public Radio show, From the Top. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, sports, talking to friends, and listening to all genres of music. She is also an avid chamber musician.
