2011 Peng LinBorn in Xiamen, China, Peng Lin began her piano studies at the age of four. Until 2006, Peng had studied at the China Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. This year, she has enrolled in Juilliard’s pre-college division as a pupil of Yoheved Kaplinsky. Peng Lin has won numerous prizes in international and national competitions, including: 3rd Prize & Chopin Prize in the 8th International Competition For Young Pianists “Arthur Rubinstein In Memoriam” (Poland); 2nd Prize in the Louisiana International Piano Competition in 2009 (United States); Bronze in the Concerto C Category & Junior High School Category in the 10th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia (Japan). Peng also won prizes in national piano competitions in China, such as 1st Prize of the 11th & 12th Xinghai Cup National Youngster and Children Piano Competition; 1st Prize of the Chinese Works Category and 2nd Prize in the Junior Category A in the Fourth (Hongkong) Hailun Cup Chinese Compositions Piano Competition; 1st Prize of the Children Group in the 2nd Cadenza Cup National Chinese Compositions Piano Competition; 1st Prize of the Junior Category in the 3rd Gulangyu National Youngster and Children Piano Competition & Festival. In recent several years, Peng Lin participated in many master classes, music festivals and concerts. In 2008, Peng performed with the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to music, Peng enjoys studying history and philosophy, travel, and photography.
